This multi-level residential building in Coogee is undergoing extensive remedial work to address significant water ingress issues.
SES was engaged by Jamesons Strata Management to conduct a structural assessment and develop a remedial design solution. The pre-construction phase focuses on resolving general water ingress issues, replacing timber windows, waterproofing the Level 3 common area, and upgrading the cladding on Level 4.
During onsite inspections, initial findings suggested the presence of asbestos in the cladding and lead paint on the window frames. Sampling and testing confirmed the presence of both materials, which are being managed accordingly as part of the remedial works.
