Strata Engineering Solutions was engaged to provide consulting engineering services to investigate reported water ingress issues affecting multiple units within this residential complex. Our scope included detailed inspections, assessment of damage, and preparation of a technical report outlining causes and recommended remedial actions.
Water ingress was identified in several locations, including window and door frames, internal finishes, and roof penetrations. The investigation found issues such as failed weather seals, deteriorated window subsills, and ageing waterproofing membranes beyond their service life.
We recommended replacing weather seals, systematic water testing to confirm points of ingress, localised corrosion treatment, and full replacement of the rooftop waterproofing membrane. Temporary repairs were also advised where appropriate before commencing full remediation.
